Rona is a registered Specialist Obesity and Bariatric Surgery Dietitian. Rona qualified with a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen .
She has since completed a master’s module in Obesity Science and Management and has presented some of her research at the European Congress on Obesity. She is a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and UK Association for the Study of Obesity (ASO).
Rona works as part of a multi disciplinary team including psychologists and physiotherapists to deliver comprehensive lifestyle interventions that focuses on long term, sustainable change. Her individualised approach supports clients to manage their weight using a number of methods including energy deficit diets, anti obesity medication and meal replacement strategies.
Rona also provides advice to individuals considering weight loss (bariatric) surgery and provides both pre and post operative dietary support.
She has extensive experience of delivering 1:1 sessions, group based weight management sessions and teaching university Weight Management modules.
Rona understands the complexity of weight and the physical and mental health conditions associated with it. She endeavours to provide dietetic and psychological support to meet the needs of her clients.
